I am going to retire my mind. I am going to retire the rape. I am going to retire the abuse. I will not allow myself to forget, but I will allow myself to stop worrying.
It happened, yes. And it changed you, yes.
But it doesn’t have to control you.
So allow it I retire in the back of your mind. Have it take a seat and lay back in that laZBoy and never work again.
Because in the end it won’t matter what you went through, but how you got through it.
